Your Vedic Zodiac Sign And What it Reveals About You
Have you ever read your horoscope and couldn't find a correlation between your zodiac sign and the way you behave in real life?
You could use Indian astrology to calculate your Vedic zodiac sign in order to gain further insight into your destiny and learn more about your personality.
What is Vedic Astrology?
The term “Vedic astrology” refers to an ancient form of astrology that originated in India and takes its name from the collection of religious scriptures in Hinduism.
Its roots can be traced back thousands of years. It is also known as Indian Astrology, Hindu Astrology, and Jyotisha or Jyotishya. Jyotisha or Jyotishya literally translates to “Science of Light.”
The movements and positions of the planets in relation to time are explained by Vedic astrology, as are the effects of those movements and positions on humans and other beings that live on Earth.
In Vedic astrology, there are 27 different constellations. These constellations consist of the 12 signs of the zodiac, 9 planets, and 12 houses. Each house and planet is said to represent a different aspect of human life.
Depending on when a person is born, the 12 signs are distributed among the 12 houses and the 9 planets are placed in different houses. A Vedic chart is the visual representation of the snapshot of the signs and planets.
The only thing that separates Vedic astrology from other forms of astrology is its interpretation of the meaning of these arrangements and how they relate to humans and other beings.
The difference between Western and Vedic Astrology
The method that is used to measure the zodiac is the biggest difference between Western and Vedic astrology.
Vedic astrology primarily uses the sidereal zodiac, while Western astrology uses the tropical zodiac.
In the sidereal zodiac, the stars are taken as a fixed background, but in the tropical zodiac, the movement of the planets is measured at the position of the Sun at the vernal equinox.
The only difference between the two systems is that the Western one has the origin of the ecliptic longitude shifted by approximately 22 degrees or days.
As a result, the planets in the Western charts are in the previous sign about 80% of the time.
It is important to keep in mind that the dates for the Sun's entry into the signs vary from year to year as a result of precession values. These dates should be verified by a sidereal astrologer for your specific year of birth.
How the Vedic zodiac is divided
The 360 degrees of the zodiac signs have been divided into 12 equal parts, called Rasi or signs, of 30 degrees each, for the purpose of showing the planetary positions and calculations, etc., according to the principles of Indian astrology.
Your “Rasi” is the zodiac sign that your Moon is in at the time of your birth. Your Rasi provides insight into aspects of your personality, attitude, and appearance.
There are nine Grahas, or planets, that have an influence on our lives, according to Vedic Astrology. Seven of these are actual celestial bodies: the Sun, the Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn.
The other two are known as shadow planets and their positions are determined mathematically. Their names are Rahu and Ketu. Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto are not mentioned in any of the Vedic astrology books.
These nine planets each have their own unique Rasis, each representing something unique in our lives. They have their own unique inherent qualities and influence different aspects of our lives.
Everything depends on how these planets are placed and in which Rasis they are. These are names of the 12 Rasis, which are the signs of the zodiac in Indian astrology as well as their rulers:
1. Aries or Mesha is ruled by Mars.
2. Taurus or Vrishaba is ruled by Venus.
3. Gemini or Mithuna is ruled by Mercury.
4. Cancer or Karka is ruled by the moon.
5. Leo or Simha is ruled by the sun.
6. Virgo or Kanya is ruled by Mercury.
7. Libra or Thula is ruled by Venus.
8. Scorpio or Vrishika is ruled by Mars.
9. Sagittarius or Dhanur is ruled by Jupiter.
10. Capricorn or Makara is ruled by Saturn.
11. Aquarius or Kumbha is ruled by Saturn.
12. Pisces or Meena is ruled by Jupiter.
12 Vedic zodiac signs according to Indian astrology
A Vedic horoscope can provide precise information about the future and can identify the exact moment in a person's life at which a certain event will happen.
If you want to have your Vedic horoscope drawn up, you will need accurate information about your date of birth, place of birth, and time of birth.
It is important to keep in mind that Vedic astrologers place a primary emphasis on the position of the Moon rather than that of the Sun.
Since they will shift over the next few years, you will then need to recalculate your Vedic zodiac sign.

They have a powerful attraction to the opposite sex and others are just as strongly attracted to them. Anyone who marries this sign will never have to worry about their relationship lacking love.
